Step 1: Prepare
The first step in pipe relining is to prepare the liner. Here we initially cut the liner to an appropriate length that will adequately cover the damaged region of the drain. Once cut, the liner is then lathered with epoxy resin and then secured to an inflatable bladder ready for insertion into the damaged drain. Once secured, the liner is then inserted.
Step 2: Inflate
Once the liner is in place covering the damaged region of the drain, the next step is to inflate the bladder (like you would a tyre tube) and let the strong and super durable inner liner thermo set using hot water against the damaged walls of your existing pipe. The resin typically takes 3 hours to set in place.
Step 3: Deflate
Once hardened, the liner (now 5x stronger than PVC pipe!) secures itself to the existing pipe, sealing up any cracks, breaks, tree root intrusions or smoothing over any misaligned sections, preventing any future blockage. The supporting bladder can now be deflated and removed from the pipe.
Step 4: Reinspect
The last step is to do a final inspection of the drain. We first give the new drain a quick clean, then with our specialist drain camera we inspect the entire new section to ensure the damage is sealed and it holds up to our standard of workmanship. Once given the 'thumbs up', your drain is now ready for action and backed by our 100-Year ‘Take It To Your Grave’ Warranty!

If you are looking for an excellent, knowledgeable, honest and reliable plumber that gives 120% to his profession look no further than Corey from Sherlock Drains. Corey was able to diagnose the cause of water hammer in my pipes in minutes over the phone and was spot on. (I had another plumber come to site and told me I needed to cut holes in walls to secure pipes and replace all taps to fix the problem quoting over $800!)
Corey did a pressure test of the mains changed the washes and services the taps for less than half the first quote I received!!! When asked, he kindly checked out other plumbing issues in the house, made his recommendations and quoted these jobs but was in no way pushy to get the work done. He was more than happy to work within by budget on that day. Corey explained every step of the work to be done and why. He worked quickly and cleaned up after. Best of all Corey and his nephew were both super friendly guys and a pleasure to meet. I cannot recommend Sherlock Drains more highly.

If you are looking for an excellent, knowledgeable, honest and reliable plumber that gives 120% to his profession look no further than Corey from Sherlock Drains. Corey was able to diagnose the cause of water hammer in my pipes in minutes over the phone and was spot on. (I had another plumber come to site and told me I needed to cut holes in walls to secure pipes and replace all taps to fix the problem quoting over $800!)
Corey did a pressure test of the mains changed the washes and services the taps for less than half the first quote I received!!! When asked, he kindly checked out other plumbing issues in the house, made his recommendations and quoted these jobs but was in no way pushy to get the work done. He was more than happy to work within by budget on that day. Corey explained every step of the work to be done and why. He worked quickly and cleaned up after. Best of all Corey and his nephew were both super friendly guys and a pleasure to meet. I cannot recommend Sherlock Drains more highly.

We are a standalone, drain and pipe relining specialist. We don't install toilets, we don't replace taps, we don't repair gutters... we fix drains!
We are fully compliant with fair trading laws that state all work over $5000 is required to have a contract.

All work blocked drain and pipe relining work is performed in-house by the Sherlock Drains team.
For severely collapsed or completely collapsed drains, pipe replacement will likely be the only appropriate solution to permanently fix your drain. In these unique circumstances, we will personally recommend a local plumber from your area, that we know and trust, to complete the dig up and replacement for you.
Unlike other systems that require a hole to be dug, yet still claim to be 'no dig'... our system is truly a 'no dig' solution and does not require any disruption of your property.
